I wish that there was a socially acceptable way to say, “I’m having a bad mental health day and need you to pay attention to me,” without alienating everyone.
or: “I’m having a bad mental health day and need to be on my own for a while so please don’t be mad if I cancel our plans on short notice.”
Tangerines. the code word is Tangerines.
Tangerines is the code word for the latter.
Clementines is now the code word for the former.
Noel, can we institute this protocol?

If I ever tell you I’m going to sleep and then you see me posting or liking things online for about an hour immediately after that, I promise I wasn’t lying to you, I’m just bad at going to sleep and it is usually a long process that begins with disengaging from any sort of immediate contact with people (chats, for example) and ends when everything on my screen is blurry and I’m hallucinating plot points I haven’t written yet
>_>;
omg this, I feel so bad when I tell someone I am going to sleep, and then I try to sleep, and fail, and then do something sorta incognito like post on tumblr, and then have a mini meltdown because they think I just want to abandon them or something.
What they did not want you to ever find out is that your generation, the generation born between 1980-1995, actually outnumbers the Baby Boomers. They knew that if you ever turned your eye towards political reform, you could change the world. They tried to keep you sated on vapid television shows and vapid music. They cut off your education and fed you brain candy. They took away your music and gave you Top Ten pop stations. They cut off your art and replaced it with endless reality shows for you to plug into, hoping you would sit quietly by as they ran the world. We as a society are only as strong as our weakest link. Give ‘em hell, kids.
I’ve never loved a post so much in the history of tumblr

do you mean: all my meaningful relationships
Not all of mine, but plenty. And literally all of my current non-family relationships are enabled by the Internet in some way, whether it’s “Internet friend introduced me to them” or “met them at an event listed online” or “live a zillion miles away so keep in touch online.”
The whole thing about “are they a person, or a person you met online?” should stay in the 1990s, seriously. It’s people meeting people either way.
Yup.

Chocolate Lasagna
INGREDIENTS
- 1 package regular Oreo cookies (Not Double Stuff) – about 36 cookies
- 6 Tablespoon butter, melted
- 1- 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tablespoons cold milk
- 1- 12 ounce tub Cool Whip, divided
- 2 – 3.9 ounce packages Chocolate Instant Pudding.
- 3 1/4 cups cold milk
- 1 and 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
- Begin by crushing 36 Oreo cookies. I used my food processor for this, but you could also place them in a large ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin. When the Oreos have turned into fine crumbs, you are done.
- Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a large bowl. Stir in 6 tablespoons melted butter and use a fork to incorporate the butter into the cookie crumbs. When the butter is distributed, transfer the mixture to a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Press the crumbs into the bottom of the pan. Place the pan in the refrigerator while you work on the additional layers.
- Mix the cream cheese with a mixer until light and fluffy. Add in 2 Tablespoons of milk, and sugar, and mix well. Stir in 1 and 1/4 cups Cool Whip. Spread this mixture over the crust.
- In a bowl, combine chocolate instant pudding with 3 and 1/4 cups cold milk. Whisk for several minutes until the pudding starts to thicken. Use a spatula to spread the mixture over the previous cream cheese layer. Allow the dessert to rest for about 5 minutes so that the pudding can firm up further.
- Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the top. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips evenly over the top. Place in the freezer for 1 hour, or the refrigerator for 4 hours before serving.
SOMEONE COME OVER AND MAKE THIS WITH ME.
Just letting everyone know that I used this recipe and want to say that it is made with very sweet things, but isn’t too rich or bland -it’s perfect. My whole family, including those who weren’t big on sweets at all, loved it. Keep in mind, too, that you’re making a lot, and it took about a week and a half for my family of four to eat it all. Also, for those who don’t have access to Cool Whip -I just used whipped cream and it tasted fantastic uvu
